note from founder

#loveisgreaterthanhate

Due to the overwhelming support from so many people we have now fulfilled (or are in final stages of delivery) for all the active requests from our strategic partners who have been operating the equipment we have supplied in Ukraine.

As such we are no longer raising money through our JustGiving page.

It has been an emotional 9 months with a core team of no more than 3 people at any given time with most of the organisation, fundraising and management done by only 2 people.

We do need a rest... We do need to focus a bit more on our young families.. but I can state categorically that this endeavour has been the most rewarding thing I have personally ever done; and I know that my core team members and volunteers feel the same about this.

We / I encourage everyone that reads this to do at least one good thing, every now and again, to help other people that desperately need it.

Our journey may have ended for the time being, but the war in Ukraine (and many other humanitarian crises around the world) continue to affect so many lives and we encourage you all to do whatever you can to help!

If you would like to support the people of Ukraine, or indeed any other humanitarian crisis, please do let us know and we will support / advise in anyway we can.

In summary for what we have achieved together:

18 Ambulances facilitated into Ukraine (circa £180,000+)

8 Neonatal Incubators facilitated into Ukraine (circa £10,000+)

14 Defibrillators facilitated into Ukraine (circa £100,000+

4+ Tonnes of Medical Supplies facilitated into Ukraine (Unknown value)

All in all that is circa £300k+ of urgent medical equipment and supplies that has saved many lives and improved the quality of life for countless more people.

All the equipment we have sent is still in service in Ukraine and will continue to be until they no longer can.

With Thanks,

Khaled El Mayet & the Ambulances for Ukraine team!

White House Press Release

Who We Are

#loveisgreaterthanhate

We are driven by exactly that, wanting to show that "Love is Greater than hate", and do what we can to help people that are impacted by a humanitarian crisis.

Founder of the initiative, Khaled El Mayet, had been involved in a similar mission which sent two ambulances to North Africa in 2011. A JustGiving page was launched on 1st March 2022 to raise funds to buy ambulances and drive them to the Poland / Ukraine border; to hand them over to paramedics who would take them into Ukraine.

We will endeavour to do whatever we can to help those that need it... Let's show that "Love is Greater than hate"

Mission 3 Complete!

Another 2 ambulances have been successfully delivered to the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) warehouses in Poland.

Ambulances for Ukraine have now provided 10 ambulances directly to Global Outreach Doctors (GoDocs), who are putting these life saving vehicles into service in Ukraine.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us!

We have more missions planned so please do donate what you can.

Mission 2 Complete!

On 27th April 22, Ambulances for Ukraine successfully delivered 2 ambulances to our partner Global Outreach Doctors.

These two ambulances were driven over 1,250 miles by a team of 4 volunteers.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported!

Our First Mission

Having launched our JustGiving page on 1st March 2022, in less than two weeks 6 ambulances were secured and on 15th March launched from Cheltenham. The 1,250+ mile journey across Europe was completed in less than 48 hours with the ambulances delivered to our partner Global Outreach Doctors on 17th March 2022.
